It’s funny how the majority of comedic creatives are men. It’s funny how most comedic spots are awarded to male directors. It’s funny how advertising’s comedic landscape seems to be dominated by banal bro humor. It’s funny how most of the people who get to decide what's funny look the same. When the majority of comedic creative directors are men, how do we get them to see what would resonate with non-male audiences? How do we make sure female and non-binary creatives are given the chance to be funny? How do we concept beyond “goofy man/smart woman” tropes?
