Roughly 32 million workers in the U.S. experience mental illness in a given year. Of that population, only half seek treatment. Yet, the advertising industry isn’t doing enough to help combat these issues. In fact, most agencies don’t have practices in place to help their own employees struggling and the ones that do aren’t going far enough. To make staffers feel they’re in a safe environment to be vulnerable and open about their mental health, it must start from the top. 60 percent of employees say they would feel more comfortable with open-minded leaders. In this session, you’ll hear from leaders who are fearlessly doing just that to impact meaningful change and help destigmatize mental health issues.
