BIO

Katie Juran leads Adobe’s diversity and inclusion efforts globally. She spearheads Adobe's overarching strategy across four strategic pillars of pipeline, candidates, employees and industry engagement. She has a special passion for shaping culture on a team, organization and company level, building on Adobe’s strong foundation as a recognized “great place to work.”

Since stepping into this role in November 2017, Katie has invested in a vision called “Adobe For All,” which marked a shift from focusing primarily on gender equality to a philosophy of advancing all differences through an inclusive culture. She has been vocal on key areas where the tech community needs to improve in order to ensure a more inclusive workplace, including inclusive hiring practices and pay parity. Adobe announced global pay parity in October 2018 and is now pursuing a new initiative called “opportunity parity,” examining fairness in promotions and horizontal movement. She received the Great Place to Work “For All” Award in 2019. In her previous 15 years at Adobe, Katie focused on the power of communications to shape corporate reputation. She built the executive communications function, a sophisticated program to advance the visibility of Adobe’s senior executive bench across web, public speaking, media, analyst, social media and employee communication channels. She also led a variety of Adobe communications teams including corporate public relations, employee communications, thought leadership research, brand publishing and the social media center of excellence.

Katie began her career with the U.S. Department of State before moving into her communications career, with tenures at Silicon Valley PR agency Cunningham Communication, computing giant Hewlett-Packard and wireless startup ArrayComm. A California native, she holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Stanford University and is a board member of the MAKERS organization, advancing women in the workforce. She is the lone female in her household, with a husband, three sons and two male cats.
