BIO

Johnathan Hill has dedicated his life's purpose to ensure the advancement of educational equity, youth employment, and personal empowerment in underserved communities. Born in Washington, DC, Johnathan has always been overly involved in student activities and clubs, finding his voice as a civic leader. Johnathan had an opportunity to introduce then U.S Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, securing a mentor, his 1st corporate internship, and ultimately the first platform where he was asked to be truly authentic in his storytelling.

Spending most of his undergraduate journey at the renowned Morehouse College, Johnathan got involved as a student leader and technology early on. He then went on to join LinkedIn via their Business Leadership Program – now he’s the sole proprietor for all small business media solutions across North America. Since joining the company, Johnathan has emerged into a dynamic leader involving himself in everything that matters to him and allows him to make an impact.

He currently helps lead LinkedIn’s Black employee resource group, manages the corporate high school internship program, certifies LinkedIn employees to rock profiles in the community, and is creating LinkedIn’s Chicago Impact Plan. Last year, Johnathan was selected to be 1 of 5 young men to represent the Obama Foundation’s Keeper’s Code tenants. Representing diversity and his own story, Johnathan hopes to use his education and experience to address issues of access and equity as they relate to secondary and higher education policy and increase college and career readiness in underrepresented populations. “My greatest fear is not if I’m headed in the right direction of success, but if I’m able to create a large enough impact to bring others with me.
