Joe Crump is the CEO of Wunderman Thompson, New York City.

Joe has academic training as an anthropologist, more than a decade as a high profile journalist, and 20 years as a pioneer in digital strategy and creative. It’s this combination of skills – profound interest in human behavior, world-class storytelling, and visionary understanding of emerging technology – that have made Joe a trusted strategic counselor for some of the world’s most celebrated brands.

He’s enormously proud that his executive leadership team at Wunderman Thompson is more than 50% diverse – gay, non-white, non-male, and that his previous agency, POSSIBLE, was 3% Certified.

Joe has three rescue cats and an Akita at home in Tribeca, and his partner runs Koneko, America’s first Japanese cat café. Though he’s a Libra, Joe has completely given up on finding balance – work/life or otherwise.
