BIO

Tai is a senior vice president at United Minds, a Weber Shandwick management consultancy. She leads the organization’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion offering.

With more than fifteen years of experience, Tai advises public and private organizations on various issues, including diversity and inclusion initiatives, brand reputation management and corporate social responsibility.

Before joining Weber Shandwick, Tai served as the senior vice president of communications for the Center for Talent Innovation (CTI), a diversity think tank. There, she developed the infrastructure and strategy for the organization’s communications team, driving all earned and owned media and digital strategies, thought leadership positioning, data visualization strategy, and message development. While at CTI, she also developed and implemented communications strategies to advance the diversity and inclusion efforts of the organization’s members. Tai coauthored the CTI book, “Ambition in Black and White: The Feminist Narrative Revised,” and CTI study, “Black Women: Ready to Lead.” Her leadership earned the team an Honorable Mention recognition by PR Week for In-House PR Team of the Year.

Tai previously worked as a member of Edelman’s Business + Social Purpose practice, overseeing strategy development and implementation for diversity and corporate social responsibility initiatives for Advanced Micro Devices, De Beers, Microsoft Retail, Walmart and Xylem. She also previously worked at Weber Shandwick in the Business Marketing/Corporate practice, managing the day-to-day account work for Sealed Air Corporation, Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education and CIT.

Tai is Prosci certified in Change Management and is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society Future Leaders Experience. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
