BIO

Sarah Spitz is a leading expert on the subject of mentoring as a key component to increase diversity in leadership. She is sought after for keynote addresses and by companies seeking to learn how to increase and improve mentorship in their organizations.

Sarah began her career producing award-winning commercials and content for global advertising clients, followed by years as Head of Business Development for a bi-coastal visual effects company.

Through those years of building thousands of impactful teams solving numerous complicated problems, Sarah has learned that the best teams are comprised of people who care about the mission ahead of them. And that to get people to commit to any mission, you must first commit to them, invest in them, and inspire them.

Armed with that insight and looking to expand her knowledge and influence, Sarah embarked on an MBA program which culminated in a thesis called Teach Them to Fish: How Mentorship Increases Diversity in Leadership, which was published to wide acclaim. Sarah has interviewed hundreds of professionals on the role of mentorship in their personal and business lives.

Whether crafting brand stories for global clients or consulting with businesses on mentoring and leadership, the common thread in Sarah’s work is empathy, understanding people, and helping to encourage and lead talented and diverse teams toward business success.

Sarah holds an MBA from the Berlin School of Creative Leadership and a B.A. from Bates College in English Literature, Creative Writing, and Theater.
