Makeda Loney

Makeda Loney is a Copywriter at FCB Chicago, writing for a variety of brands across the Health and Wellness spectrum. Over the span of two and a half years, her career has led her to develop a diverse client roster including McDonald’s, Toyota, Walmart, Comcast, Nike and Delta. In 2018, she was honored as one of The Drum’s 50 under 30 in the U.S., a list celebrating young women blazing a trail in creative fields. Most recently, she was selected to join the ADCOLOR FUTURES Class of 2019. She also serves as a Content Creator for Coalesce Chicago, an organization dedicated to cultivating and supporting diversity + inclusion in Chicago’s advertising scene. When she isn't writing copy, she's talking about fat liberation and body positivity as a co-host of Fat Chat, a podcast that aims to celebrate, reclaim and demystify the fat experience.
