Kia Medlock

Kia Medlock is in grade 10 in Toronto, Canada. She’s all about the arts. In grade 8 she won the award for top performer and top visual artist.

Kia is into photography, drawing, acting and music, but her real passion is filmmaking. She sees everything as an opportunity to shoot something: in the backseat of a long car ride, on a walk with friends; even when she’s sick and has to stay home, she makes a film.

When she isn’t doing typical teenager things, such as sleeping in until 11 on weekends and binge-watching a series on Netflix, Kia is passionate about equal rights for all, regardless of gender, race or sexual orientation.
