University of Notre Dame is looking for a Senior Graphic Design Specialist
The next Senior Graphic Design Specialist will continue a tradition of award-winning excellence by actively living the marketing team's vision for the role of design at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center (DPAC). You will generate solutions that create and protect brand equity through design choices meeting the missions and strategic priorities of the center and the University of Notre Dame. Actively contribute to a strong marketing team under the creative leadership of the Creative Program Director and report directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications. Achieve a compelling, inclusive vision for each season's creative design strategies and tactics. You bring several years of challenging experience to this role, allowing you to excel in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.

- Creation of original branded digital and print materials, such as artwork for various social media and display ad platforms, short- and long-form videos, animated gifs, playbills, posters, books, direct mail, traditional advertisements, signage, and website artwork.
- Photographic documentation of live performances, residencies, master classes, and portraiture with a DSLR camera.
- Video documentation through interviews, rehearsals, and performance.
- Final video editing and typographic animation.
Requires expert understanding of graphic design through typography, color, composition, illustration, photography, and brand guidelines. Ability to think abstractly, conceptually, strategically, and tactically in developing creative design solutions. Working knowledge and application of Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro within a Mac-based environment.
Full-time position with hybrid option possible. However, this role will require being in the office daily for a period of time to complete onboarding and training. After this period of time, a hybrid schedule is an option for the incumbent.

- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive professional experience in graphic design and brand development or related field.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects).
- Experience with high-speed and/or live performance photography and videography with strong video editing skills.
- Experience in or familiarity with higher education, especially the performing arts.
- Current understanding of digital and social media trends, and applications.
