Edelman is looking for a General Manager - Digital & Integrated Marketing
Edelman’s Washington office is seeking a daring, transformative leader accountable for creating, driving, and implementing a new integrated marketing model on behalf of Fortune 100 clients in brand, public affairs, corporate and crisis, as well as sector specialties.
This leader will have oversight of our digital and integrated marketing team including strategy and planning, creative, social content, paid media, digital analytics, technology and development, production, operations, media and editorial. They are responsible for driving culture, sourcing the best talent and ultimately, growing the business at rapid pace, during a time of industry-wide disruption. In this role you will create content through discovery, guided by insight, and delivered through multiple storytelling channels.

You will lead, grow and closely partner with colleagues around the world to strengthen Edelman’s brand as a thought leader in the market and identify and win new client opportunities.
•Partner with the President of the DC office to grow accounts and people, and contribute to the office culture of collaboration, integration and transparency.
•Lead and shape the vision for an integrated team of specialists to ensure delivery of consistent, quality work that advances client priorities. Serve as guide, counselor and advisor as it relates to industry knowledge and build sense of community across offices;
•Oversee seamless delivery of the digital and integrated marketing work product through effective planning, budgeting, coordination, communication and staffing; in short, you will manage all aspects of your business for a team of more than 60 staff.
•Partner with account teams and the business development team to generate growth from digital and integrated marketing opportunities;
•Serve as a connection point for colleagues across the world, specifically escalating good work up and cascading learnings down and across the team;
•Oversee a book of business with a mix of digital and storytelling work that spans various areas of focus, including brand, corporate reputation, crisis, energy, federal, health, public affairs, multicultural, etc.
•Actively support/guide office-specific prospecting and new opportunities as it relates to the digital and integrated marketing team;
•Serve as first point of contact for relevant new business pursuits, partnering with relevant general managers or appointed lead;
•Serve as senior advisor role on all large-scale new business pursuits.
•A problem solver – a communications leader who is able to find clarity in client asks and devise creative, purposeful solutions inclusive of digital and traditional PR tactics.
•Experience managing complex and multi-million-dollar budgets; driving organic and incremental growth, profitably;
•Visionary in the digital and broader marketing space who fully understands and knows how to demonstrate the value of integrated marketing to our clients as well as internal stakeholders;
•Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing and communications programs; must have working knowledge of how and when to deploy strategy and creative, paid media and performance marketing, business intelligence, digital analytics, earned media, influencer partnerships, search, CRM; technology builds, social and editorial content, production and operations; etc.;
•Inspiring team leader who is collaborative, energized and excited about the team’s growth and success;
•Proven track record of pitches won, bringing in new clients and revenue;
•Maintain A+ client relationships with complex global companies and brands across verticals that promote, protect and/or evolve client initiatives in multiple areas, including brand, corporate reputation, crisis, energy, federal, health, public affairs, multicultural, etc. •Unmatched energy and competitive spirit… a tireless desire to win.
•15+ years of experience in communications, marketing, digital or an integrated agency with at least six years of experience in a senior leadership role.
