Job Description

Cross-Category, Cross-Channel Marketing (XCM) Creative is the internal advertising team setting design and brand direction for Amazon’s global brand. Our mission is to be the most customer-centric collective of creative thinkers, dreamers and doers. This manifests itself through visual design, branding, photography, video, social, digital, advertising and user experience design. We are responsible for branding and the creative development of style guides for the Amazon parent brand and collaborate with business partners around the world to support a wide range of devices, services, features, and retail categories. XCM is looking for an experienced producer to raise the creative bar on all types of media. You will be responsible for partnering with creative to manage the production of high-quality photography, video (social and onsite), and digital content for Amazon. Strong organization and communication skills are requirements, as well as the ability manage the expectations of our internal production partners and other stakeholders.

Note on Location: We are open to this role being located in Seattle, WA or Santa Monica, CA.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to producer team, driving production against the lens of Amazon’s Leadership Principles and raising the creative bar
  • Create budget controls to drive accuracy in forecasting and estimating
  • Manage team roadmap, staffing plan and annual spend
  • Develop KPIs and report on the efficacy of the producer team, drive improvements
  • Create and manage production timelines and budgets
  • Source, bid, hire and manage production partners and freelancers
  • Attend shoots and ensure all deliverables are meeting expectations, including adherence to established timelines and budgets (some travel required)
  • Track feedback, revisions and project communications throughout a campaign
  • Remove roadblocks to production, offering creative solutions to challenges
  • Collate individual project budgets into overall spend reporting
  • Ensure all deliverables are meeting business partner expectations, including adherence to established timelines and budgets
  • Develop KPIs and report on the efficacy of the video producer team, drive improvements
  • Communicate project statuses daily, flagging and troubleshooting potential issues

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a photo producer, social producer, video producer, or a similar role
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • An available online portfolio
  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in applied techniques with a working knowledge of video production, post production, lighting, composition, color quality, and aesthetics
  • An existing network of photo production and creative resources
  • Experience creating social media specific content (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
  • Experience implementing or managing digital asset management tools
  • Experience working with time-tracking/resource management tools
  • Collaborative with proven ability to work across-teams and synthesize input from creative stakeholders
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter that can operate efficiently within ambiguous situations
