The Eighth Annual 3% Conference

The Eighth Annual 3% Conference
We're not a women's conference. We’re a business event about the importance of diversity to creativity.
3% started with the question: "Where are all the women?" Eight years later, we ask: "Where are all the men?"
Men account for only 17% of our conference attendance, despite the fact that:
- 1. 3% is a business conference, not a women's conference.
- 2. Gender equality benefits everyone and involves everyone.
- 3. Men are visibly transformed by the experience of attending 3%.
So this year, we're setting a B.A.G. (Big Audacious Goal) of having 29% of our audience be men and titling the event: The 29%.
Why 29%?
Because that's the representation of women creative directors in our most recent research. And we want men to experience the exact ratio of their female peers for a couple of days.
So if you're a man who has benched yourself from attending 3% in the past -- thinking you were showing allyship by freeing up a spot for a woman to attend -- consider this: there is no single action of advocacy more powerful than immersing yourself in a deeper understanding of gender equality and 21st Century Leadership. Because men still hold a disproportionate amount of power in the workplace, it's imperative they understand the many ways that diversity = creativity = profitability.
